2001 Yamaha R6 Limited Edition #59 of 1000

How to Install Street Glow Neon Hott Wirez on your Bike.

Parts Needed

Well Duh, the Neon Hott Wirez Kit at least :-).
Most Important of All, Lots and Lots of Patients and Planning.
Other Parts:
- If You Buy No Other Part, Purchase Some Scotch Tape. This Will Help You Position the Neon Wire in the Right Place Before You Start Gluing it on.
- Some Black 14 or 16 Gauge Insulated Wire - Some Red 14 or 16 Gauge Insulated Wire
- Spaded and Closed Wire Connectors (One is for The Positive Side of the Battery and the other is for the Ground Wire to the Frame)
- 1 On/Off Toggle Switch (Wal-Mart, Near the Car Lights)
- A Few Barrel Wire Connectors. 14 or 16 Gauge size.
- 1 Piece of Rubber Inner Tube 2" Wide x 4" Long. (I Used it to Insulated the Switch from the Frame. I'll Explain How Later.)
- Lots of Cable Ties. (I Used Black Because That's the Color That Yamaha Used. Also I Used a Lot Getting Everything in the Right Place)
- Some Form of Super Glue, Unless You Want to Use the Double Sided Adhesive Tape From the Kit. I Used the Super Glue Because, Unless You Were Looking, You'd Never See the Wire During the Day. The Tape Would Be Easy to Spot And Would Attract Dust.
You May Want Some 16 Gauge Speaker Wire to, the Thin Stuff. I Read a Web Page Where a Guy Was Talking About Taking a Long Piece of the Neon Wire And Cutting It Up Into the Sizes He Needed. Then With the Speaker Wire, He Connected All of the Neon Back to the Transformer And It All Worked Fine.
Personally I Think Those Transformers are Pretty Powerful And Could Probably Power 20+ Feet of Neon Wire.
