2001 Yamaha R6 Limited Edition #59 of 1000

How to Install Street Glow Neon Hott Wirez on your Bike.

Instructions Part 1 (Prep Work)

- Well If You Just Cleaned Your Bike, Then You're Addicted to Riding Like Me. I Clean Her Almost Every Day I Can. :-)
- Remove Your Seat. On Most Bikes From What I know, This is Where the Battery is at. Locate Your Battery And a Grounded Bolt. I Used One of the Bolts That Holds the Battery Tray / Electronics Compartment. Darn Near Rounded the Head Off of the Bolt, So Be Careful.

- The Very First Thing I Did Was take a Clean Rag and Wipe Down the Line/Area I Was Going to Run the Wire. In My Case, the First Wire was Around the Bottom Seam of the Tank. Street Glow Recommends Using Alcohol to Clean With. I Used the Rag And Then Right Before Applying the Wire With the Glue, I Ran My Finger Over the Area. This Does Something to Make the Glue Adhere Faster. It Works, I Don't Why LOL Plus It's Cool Later to Peel Off the Super Glue :-)

(NO GLUING YET DON'T GET EXCITED)

- So Then I Took the Neon And Fitted it With My Fingers Tightly Around the Seam on the Tank. This Helps to Determine if it is the Correct Length For Your Application.
- After Checking the Length, Pull Off About a Dozen 1.5" Pieces of Scotch Tape And Put Them Hanging on the Bike in an Easy to Reach Spot. You Do This So You Don't Have to Keep Stopping to Get Tape.
- Then Start Taping the Wire On the Bike. I Put tape about every 6" And at Least One Piece in Every Inside And Outside Bend.
- When You Get Done, If You Want to, Cut Off The Excess. If It's a Considerable Enough Length, Keep It! You Can Use It Somewhere Else. (Remember the Speaker Wire?) When I Ran Mine Around the Tank, a 5' Piece, I only had about 3" Left. So I Just Glue it to the Tank So It Would Fade Away Under the Seat.
