| 7:30 AM | Got up Late. Took a Shower and Washed the Bike Off. I Packed My Crap And Left. |
| 9:30 AM | Finally, I Left the House. As I Was Pulling out of my Neighborhood, I Saw 2 Honda Gold Wings Go by. So I Pulled Out And Caught Them. Turned Out They Were Going to Georgia Too. So I Followed Them All the Way to Exit 104 on I-95 in GA. Then I Tried to Find Roebling on Hwy 80. |
| Important Note | Just Make Sure if You Go That Way, Go All the Way Through the Town. Then Peel Off to the Right And There’s a Sign on the Left. |
| 11:00 AM | I finally made it to Roebling Road. I met up with Art and he introduced me to everyone. I met his wife Judy and Kate the Track Manager and her husband. |
| 11:30 AM | I signed my paper work, dropped my $25, and became a SCCA Solo Member :-) I can now go to any SCCA Sanctioned event and Corner Work or Work the Field! Pretty cool I think. Like a Pit pass!! :-) |
| 11:50 AM | Walked over to the Coke machine to get a Diet Coke, so I could drink half of it, pour it out and put it under my kick stand. |
| 11:52 AM | Looked over at the emergency guy sitting in the truck next to the machine, "It took my $.50?!?" |
| 11:53 AM | Contemplating kicking the Coke machine's A$$! LOL |
| 11:54 AM | After dying of thirst for a few minutes and fighting with the machine. I decided to bend my wrist a really weird way and I knock the drink out of the whole and there she came. The funny thing was, they were actually going to call someone over to fix it over $.50! LMAO |
| 11:56 AM | Walked back over to my bike, frantically drinking my stubborn Diet Coke. Then I dumped half it it, crushed it and it became my bike stand for the afternoon. |
| 11:58 AM | I jumped in Art's Van and he says, "Ever been around a race track?" Me, "Uh, No?" Art on the Radio, "Turn Six to Control. Permission to make one lap on the track." Control, "Sure, 5 minutes until the First Car." Well at a skin blistering 35 to 40 MPH in his Minivan, we made almost a complete lap, bald tire squealing and all. Just before the pit Wall Art grabs the radio, "Turn Six to Control. Permission to Reverse Direction at Turn 8 to go back to Turn 6." Control, "Permission Granted. Hurry up!" Art, "This is the fun part, going in reverse!" Me (With a huge grin on my face), "Uh, Ok!?!" and back to our Corner we went. I have to say, so far that's the coolest thing I've ever done!! Granted, it wasn't on my bike, I did get to go around the track :-) |
| 2:15 PM | After talking to Kate and her husband about the bike races this weekend, I got my gear on and left for the great city of Pooler, GA. I "attempted" a wheelie in front of the track, but no go. LMAO |
| 2:45 PM | Stopped and got gas right next to I-95. $4 :-) |
| 2:50 PM | Hauling butt out of GA cause everyone was driving like MORONS! It's amazing how fast people drive in GA on that 3 lane highway and then all of a sudden when crossing the Savannah River, everyone slows down 10 MPH. |
| 3:20 PM | I took the first exit I saw for Beaufort, Highway 278. |

I got on Highway 170 to Beaufort. Going this way, they are widening the High to 2 lanes. So of course in the direct of Beaufort the 2 Lanes are down to one and the 2 lanes going the other way are both open. |
| 3:40 PM | When I got over the bridge, I turn left at the Gas station. Which takes you into Beaufort. Plus there's a Yamaha Dealer on that road too! :-) |
| 3:50 PM | I crossed the bridge at Paris Island
going towards Port Royal. That's a really cool bridge. I like the way it curves around and it's impressive looking too. |
| 3:53 PM | I took a left onto Ladys Island Drive, which takes you over another bridge to get over to Highway 21 towards Fripp Island or back into Beaufort. |
| 4:00 PM | I made it to 21, I was going to take a left to go back into Beaufort, but then I remember how twisty those old roads were going across the Islands. There's like 5 Islands you cross on the way to Fripp Island, the very last thing on Highway 21. The reason I know this, I used to go out there with my ex-wife's family, now I go out there with me "New Girlfriend" LMAO |
| 4:15 PM | Remember I was going Really FAST!!
I didn't take me long to cover to 15 - 20 Miles out to
Fripp Island. I finished my ride and made it back into Beaufort. I highly recommend you at least do this route one time. Highway 21 on the island before Fripp is really long and straight in some places. It's really bumpy, but it's more like dips in the road. So at 85+ MPH, it's LOTS of fun! Be careful of dears and snakes out here. Everyone on that road usually drives about 55. Don't cross the bridge to Fripp Island, the guards at the gate look at you real funny when you don't stop, but turn around and do a wheelie out on the entrance LMAO I made one little stop at the Gay Fish Company to take a picture of the sign. |
| 4:30 PM | I pissed some woman off by follow behind her and swerving back and forth in the lane. It was behind her for like 2 miles. I couldn't pass here, so I go bored and got creative. Cut me some slack, it was new pavement. :-) I pissed her off some much, that when it broke into a 4 lane highway, she gets in the left lane and I got in the right. I really wasn't in a hurry and she though I was going to fly by her. So I inched up beside her little White Ford Ranger and I saw her rolling down the window, "OH SHIT". Then I see something that looked like a Drinking straw, "OH SHIT". Then I see her reach up in her Visor and start looking around the cab for something. I realized it was a pen and this stupid bitch actually thought I was going to pass her after seeing all of this. At the Stop light where she was turning I stopped like 2 car lengths back in my lane. Even though I could have pulled up past her. As the light change, I pulled up next to her and glared at her as she turned! LMAO Shot her the bird and pulled off :-) |
| 4:35 PM | I stopped just over the bridge on the water front and took some more pictures of my date for the evening. Then I rode her hard all the way home. *BIG GRIN* |
| 4:45 PM | Some stupid Black woman in an old POS Chrysler damn near ran me off the rode. So just about locked them up with traffic behind me and a Cop 2 cars up. So I pointed at her and gestured her to get her dumbass over before she tries to kill me again LOL |
| 4:46 PM | The Cop turned off of Hwy 21. I watched her pull out and take off doing like 85+ MPH. I thought about it for a moment, but said no, I'm ok going slow. |
| 4:53 PM | I was watching the scenery, when I realized the car in front of me slowing down for some reason. Then I looked up the road and some how a new Silver car had appeared in the left hand lane. Then I watched it disappear ahead, then I saw blue lights. So I stood up on my bike and saw her get pulled over. I started laughing my ass off!! So I honked at the Trooper when I went by and waved at her. LOL Let it be known that South Carolina State Troopers drive SILVER CARS! |
| 5:10 PM | First set of passing lanes on Highway 17. 6 Vehicles, including me, split the 2 lanes. Then I noticed the first on get back over. So I pulled over in my lane a little and looked up ahead. "Hmmm, another silver car and the noses is dropping hard on it. Hey look he's pulling into the median." So I eased back on over into the right hand lane. He turned around and got behind everyone. |
| 5:20 PM | I was watching the road ahead and the Trooper behind us be pulling out to the left side of the lane. Then I saw an unmarked Trooper, so I stayed over in the left side of the lane and waved diligently as he went by. Don't you know that pisses off those unmarked cops? LMAO |
| 5:21 PM | I guy on a Ninja is going the other way, so I pulled over in the left hand side of the lane, hanging off of my bike and started slapping my helping like a mad man. I know that trooper behind us could see me. hehe. |
| 5:25 PM | Next set of passing lanes, FINALLY! I see/hear a car go whizzing by, headed the other way. For some reason, the trooper disappeared again. LOL |
| 5:26 PM | Downshift 3 Gears, increase RPMS,
decrease Gas mileage :-) From then on I was trying to keep from falling asleep on the bike! |
| 5:45 PM | Got Home and Told my brother about the day. I took some more Pictures because she was still clean :-) Then I uploaded the Pictures and left for the GF's house. |
